Dr. Carlos A. Cuevas
Dr. Cuevas earned his Ph. D. in clinical psychology from CSPP/Alliant International University. His areas of clinical and research interest are trauma/PTSD, victimization and abuse, and sexual violence/sexual offending. Dr. Cuevas brings more than 10 years of clinical experience in various treatment settings to New Directions. In addition, much of his work has been with Latino and Spanish-speaking clients. Dr. Cuevas is also an Assistant Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. His areas of research include psychological and psychosocial impact of victimization, sexual violence, and psychological assessment in survivors of abuse and sex offenders. Some of his areas of teaching include forensic psychology, statistics and the psychology of criminal behavior.
